Tour Jasper

Jasper is best known for its National Park and Columbia Ice field. The town is the most northerly of the Canadian Rockies national parks, and a rugged, unspoiled wilderness. The charming town of Jasper is the perfect base for an exploration of this beautiful park, and a quiet, friendly place to stay.

Jasper is the wildest of the Canadian Rocky Mountain parks, and home to large populations of wildlife including grizzly bears, moose, caribou and wolves. It's renowned for the quality of its backcountry trails, scenic Maligne Lake Cruises to the iconic Spirit Island, as well as the excellent skiing at Marmot Basin.

The peaceful town of Jasper is an authentic place where real people live, and a great place to come for outdoor adventure. A former railway town, it owes its charm to the richness of its historical treasures; if you're interested in tales of the early settlers and pioneers, then you'll find plenty to keep you busy in Jasper. As a small but lively tourist destination, it has a varied and eclectic selection of restaurants, and a diverse range of shops, including some selling all the latest equipment for your trip.

Jasper is also at the Northern end of the Ice fields Parkway, the dramatic and scenic route that leads down through the Columbia Ice fields to Banff National Park; it's the perfect starting point for a Glacier Adventure.
